Fresh Start Organic Farm in Silay City

Fresh Start Organics is a privately owned company which was founded in 2005 by Mr. Ramon Uy and his wife Mrs. Francine Uy. They actually first started as producers of organic fertilizers and their company has grown into a business whose expanded product range includes not only certified organic fertilizers, but also fresh and let me say it again “ORGANIC” produce, organic rice, organic coffee (my favorite!) as well as organic pigs (they are vegetarian pigs) and free range chickens. Other additions to Fresh Start’s product lines include Healthy Pantries and Natural Personal Care products.

Sinadya sa Halaran Festival 2011

We are here in Roxas City, Capiz for the Sinadya sa Halaran Festival 2011 and so far we’re having so much fun! During this time of the year you can feel the intensity of faith and fun of the Capiznons as they enjoy this grateful celebration of sharing of blessings. The theme for this year is “Paghiliusa kg pagkinasadya kaupod sang Birhen Santa Maria.” The festival started yesterday and it is ongoing until December 11th. So you still have time to come here!

Church of Pan-ay in Capiz

Pan-ay, originally called Bamban, was established in 1572. The first church, constructed in 1774 by Fr. Miguel Murguia, was heavily damaged by typhoon in 1875. The present church was constructed in 1884 under the direction of Fr. Jose Beloso who commissioned Don Juan Reine to cast a bell for the church from seventy sacks of coins donated by the townspeople. This bell, the biggest in the Philippines, measures seven feet in diameter, five feet in height and weighs 10,400 kilograms.

Boracay Marine Walk Experience with White Blue

Here’s another installment of our Boracay weekend getaway last July. On our second day we did one of the most enjoyable activities while in Boracay Island, Philippines – the Marine Walk. Marine Walk is a helmet diving system that has been designed for the ultimate underwater experience. We literally walked under the sea, surrounded by fascinating marine life, live corals, and colorful tropical fishes!

Ride the Zorb in Boracay!

I finally know how a ball feels after riding the Zorb in Boracay last July. The Zorb is a new extreme adrenaline rush activity in Boracay and all I can say is that I am definitely doing it again next time I’m there! It’s so much fun riding down a hill harnessed inside a giant plastic ball. If you are craving for a natural high this is one of the best ways to experience it.

Bondoc's Viewing Deck Bar and Resto at San Jose Antique

But it’s okay I know there will be lots of opportunities to go back there again to take those photos. So if ever you go to San Jose, Antique try to check out Bondoc’s Viewing Deck Bar and Restaurant. The food is great, the service crew are awesome, the service is fast, the place is beautiful and the prices reasonable. It is not like the usual restaurant you frequently haunt in the city so be sure to go there! Because I am definitely going back! :)

Day Trip to Guimaras

We went on a day trip to Guimaras yesterday. I have been to Guimaras countless times but this was the first time that I was able to go island hopping, snorkeling and see/touch turtles in Lawi! We went to Ave Maria Island, it had a white sand beach though not as white as Boracay’s but much better because it was quieter and ideal for relaxation. After a couple of hours of lounging at the beach we went back to Raymen’s Beach Resort.

Be Frugal – Or Not

I know some people are not really too happy about my “extra-curricular” activities this summer. They don’t approve of my traveling and the other stuffs I’m doing. But you know what, I don’t really care what they say (if you know me well enough then you must know that already.)
