Last Saturday, February 25th, we attended the Visayan Conference on Mining and the Ecology. We learned so many things about the current issues our country is facing when it comes to taking care of our environment and more importantly the major issue of mining and its negative effects.

Help for the Victims of Sendong (Washi)

By now the whole world knows about how typhoon Sendong (international name Washi) ravaged Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City. As of last count 652 were confirmed dead and 808 still missing. I am writing this blog post because I want to help – in my own little way – not only my blogger friends who live there but also the people of CDO and Iligan. Christmas is just a week away so just imagine how they will be able to celebrate it. Below are ways on how we can all help.
