High Yellows at a glance ima-yellow-s1

You are gregarious, optimistic, fun loving, friendly, and can be a risk taker. You have good persuasive skills although you can be a dreamer and can get others caught up in your dreams.

You need to feel that you are getting the credit you deserve and will be quick to draw attention to your achievements.

You are skilled at influencing others and use this ability to shape your environment to accomplish the results you need. You are both open and assertive with a preference for a fast paced and spontaneous work life.

When stressed you may become confrontational and wasteful of time. However when you are under stress others may view you as manipulative and over eager.

To help you increase your effectiveness High Yellows must control their time and emotions, develop an objective mind set, follow through, concentrate on tasks, and take a more logical approach.

Today is Saturday. And Saturday is my day to go out and unwind.  Of course as always I was with Tim. We watched a movie today. We actually didn’t plan to but I was intrigued with Twilight. Because Monica kept texting me yesterday to watch this movie with her. So Tim and I went to Robinson’s Place and watched Twilight. And too bad Monica wasn’t able to watch it with us. Sorry Nix – unplanned. Hehehe.

The movie Twilight is based on the novel of the same name by Stephenie Meyer. Kristen Stewart is Bella Swan and Robert Pattinson is Edward Cullen. I enjoyed the movie. Its about a teenage girl who fell in love with a 108 year old vampire but is physically seventeen. They fell in love. And this put Bella’s life in danger. Edward and his family risked their lives to save Bella from three nomadic vampires. I’m going to watch the next two movies because its actually a trilogy. But surely Bella chose to be a vampire too in order to be with Edward forever. I have to read the novels to understand everything.  I think it’s a classic story of love that conquers all. Twilight brought out the romantic in me. And I recommend this movie to everyone. So yes I am also planning to buy the novels this movie was based on soon. I’m sure the novels are far better than the movie. By the way I love the soundtrack of this movie too. Especially The Fray’s How To Save A Life and Linkin Park’s Leave Out All The Rest.

Found really meaningful blogs today while I was tag surfing.

I also got to listen to Tim McGraw’s song – Live Like You Were Dying from a very life inspiring blog -  Storms Never Last.

I asked permission from the owner of that blog to repost Tim McGraw’s song here, hope she won’t mind.

When you find out you will die, that’s when you decide to live.

It wasn’t until she decided to die, that Veronika found a reason to live.

It’s Saturday and again I decided to take the afternoon off so I went to the city, met up with Tim and we went malling. He had to buy something at National Bookstore for his sister’s wedding so I went with him. While he was looking for whatever it was he wanted, I went to the bestseller’s section and looked over the books that I haven’t read yet. And Paulo Coelho’s Veronika Decides To Die caught my eye. I have heard of this book many times before but I haven’t got the chance to read it. So after a little thinking I decided to buy a copy for myself.

After reading the first chapter, I decided that I love this book already. Paulo Coelho is such a great writer. I’ll continue reading and I’ll put the things I’ve learned here later on. And also the things that needs to be off my mind.

I browsed the internet and I learned that there’s a movie  still in production process based on this book. Sarah Michelle Gellar will star as Veronika. It’s going to be out in 2009.

Veronika is 24 and she decides to die?  She has everything but she decided to die? Why?

That’s what I’m going to found out.

To those who don’t know, my Mother was awarded by the National Association of Special Educators (NASE) as the Regional and National Winner in the 2007 Search for the Outstanding Teacher for Children with Mental Retardation. Here’s the link to that post.

She has been on the national and local papers for a time now and yesterday – she was again featured in an article at the anniversary issue of The News Today, a local paper here in Iloilo which is circulated in Western Visayas and Negros.

I encourage you guys to read it so you’ll know more about my Mamang and what she does;

I can’t believe it! It’s already November! Year 2008 is going to end in less than two months (sigh). This year has been so good to me. I have a new job – which can pay the bills mind you. Thanks Mauricio! (I know you’re reading this) :)

I haven’t had the time to write about what’s been happening in my life lately. And I think I have to update my friends who are asking me  what I’ve been up to lately. Well guys – here it goes:

1. Tim and I are joining the CFC Singles for Christ and it’s about time. My brother Sev whose an SFC has been recruiting me since I don’t know when. We have to attend their Christian Life Program for 14 consecutive Sunday afternoons so we will be certified members. It’s great that Tim is also joining. Aside from the “quality time” and the “pa-good shot” with my parents, I get to meet other singles who are God-fearing and mature as well.

2. Tim has slept at our house! Yey!! It’s great that Papang agreed to let him stay for a night at the house. Even though the reason why he stayed for the night was because he had to help me out in installing the Magic Jack. It hasn’t happened before that’s why I’m so happy. It only shows that my parents do trust me.

3. My friends and ex-coworkers at Callbox are pestering me to make “libre.” Well sure guys but we have to set a date and time for that alright? ;)

4. Someone thought that I’m a “party girl” after reading one of my posts here. Well I’m not. I just love to go out once in a while. And that’s when Papang allows me to. It’s weird right? Be 23 and to have to ask permission from your father to go out? Maybe it’s because I’m an only girl. But hey I’m 23! Other girls my age have a couple of babies or more already!

5. I’m looking forward to Christmas time! I love giving gifts and of course receiving them. You know what to do Nang Janice. Victoria’s Secret? Hehehe. Miss you Nang! Miss you Shey! Miss you Amy! I miss everyone. :(

6. I’m also looking forward to meeting the Iloilo Bloggers! Junelle said we’re going to have a Christmas party too.

7. I don’t know why but I’ve been listening to America and Alanis Morrisette’s songs lately. Ironic and Lonely People is on repeat mode on my playlist.

Hhmmm..what else can I tell you? Well I think that’s it for now guys, I’ll just update all of you again of what’s occupying my time these days. I still have work to do. Tahtah!

Listen to this guys and tell me what you think. I’m a big America fan too.
